The first ever Regional Session of EYP Switzerland took place in a veritable home of international politics on the 2nd of March 2012. The delegates from Collège Calvin, Collège Sismondi, Collège André Chavanne, Gymnase de Nyon and Grenoble were welcomed to the Salle du Grand Conseil of Geneva by Pierre Losio, President thereof and enjoyed an opening speech from Pierre Maudet, Mayor of Geneva.
The participants intensely discussed a variety of topics from nuclear energy to the accession of Turkey to the EU to development aid. The resolution booklet of the session can be found here. For their consistently high level of participation and enthusiasm, the delegation from the Gymnase de Nyon were granted a place at the National Session in Aarau without application.
