On Sunday, 19th of April, our alumni met in Aarau for an Extraordinary General Meeting and for an Easter Brunch. As the past Board Member on Finances and Membership, Mohamed Atiek, is leaving us, we are happy to announce that Riccardo Passarella has been elected to take over this mandate. With our Annual General Meeting (AGM) only a few days ahead, we kindly ask our members to have a look at the agenda and the Manifestos of the people who decided to run for Board Membership. EYP Switzerland is happy to invite its members to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the Chairs' Training. Both events will take place on the weekend of the 14th and 15th February 2015 in Winterthur. The Chairs' Training will take place on Saturday and Sunday and is led by Christian Macht (DE). He is a very experienced EYPer and will preside the Austrian National Selection Conference in Vienna this spring. We are glad that he will share his knowledge with our Alumni. We are very proud to announce that the 83rd International Session of the European Youth Parliament will take place in Laax (GR) in autumn 2016 and is being head-organised by our president, Nora Wilhelm! With great pleasure we announce the dates of the upcoming Regional Sessions and open the Call for Delegates! For the first time, our RSs will last two days. They will take place in February and March 2015 all over Switzerland: Berne: Thursday, 26. - Friday, 27. February 2015 Basel: Saturday, 7. - Sunday, 8. March 2015 Geneva: Friday, 13. - Saturday, 14. March 2015 Zurich: Saturday, 21. - Sunday, 22. This weekend, our Alumni Weekend takes place in the lovely mountain village of Sörenberg LU. While the delegates of the National Selection Conference Fribourg 2014 learned about EYP Journalism, attending sessions abroad and how European institutions work, our more experienced members were given an insight into chairing and layouting and could give their input to the vision on our organisation. We thank everybody for their contribution and look forward to seeing you again at one of our upcoming events.

Now that Fribourg 2014 has come to an end, it is time to return to daily business. During the session we held an Extraordinary General Meeting to elect two new members of the board. The assembly unanimously elected Mohamed Atiek and Lars Kieni as new members of the board. While Mohamed will be the new treasurer of EYP Switzerland and take care of membership, Lars will take over the communication portfolio. We wish them all the best in their new positions.

EYP Switzerland is very pleased to have been granted a Podio sponsorship, enabling us to use the intranet platform that facilitates the work and communication of our organisation for free! The Board of EYP Switzerland has started working with Podio earlier this year, setting up different apps and folders for every department to make cooperation and coordination among the Board Members a lot smoother. Each student who participated in an event of EYP Switzerland automatically becomes a EYP Switzerland Alumni. Every year, we organise various events for our Alumni community. Among others the Easter Brunch, Christmas Dinner and Chairs' Trainings take place annually. Moreover, all Almuni are invited to the Annually General Meeting (AGM), taking place early in the year.
